Making products and services easier to use

Ensuring your products and services are a joy to use can increase sales and customer satisfaction while preventing launch delays and costs.

new experience has tested the usability of web and mobile internet services across sectors as diverse as financial services, retail, travel, education and technology.

We offer three main usability techniques to help you get the best returns from your web and mobile service:

  • Usability testing – we give users key tasks to complete on your web or mobile site to identify any potential barriers to achieving their goals.
  • Prototype testing – early-stage testing of site architecture, task flows and graphic design.
  • Card sorting – to work out the best way to organise content for your users (information architecture).

 

Research lab and viewing facility

We conduct testing in our usability lab, with one-way mirror viewing for our clients. Sessions typically last up to 1.5 hours. We also test mobile interfaces out in the field, using our portable equipment.

We use multiple digital video cameras and Techsmith Morae software to capture the sessions, and can give you a DVD of edited video highlights. These show the participant's face and the interface under test.
